My name is Chrystal Perkins. I’d like to share a little about myself and my love for photography. I recently accepted a job as a TBLSEC Administrative Assistant in Basehor, KS. I previously worked as a County Clerk/Election Authority in northern Missouri. I am a mother of 3 amazing children. I have one daughter, a Physical Education and Health teacher and softball and basketball coach, who just had her first child in May. She has blessed me with a beautiful little granddaughter. I have two boys: one who is grown who is successfully growing his goat business (Perkins Boer Goats), working a full time job, all while working on his career path of becoming a teacher and football coach. My youngest son, still in school, is an avid football player and track athlete who is growing into an amazing young man with a big heart. I also gained a bonus son last August when my daughter married the love of her life. Each of them never cease to amaze me. Each of them hold a special place in my heart.

I have had a love and fascination for pictures and snapshots since I was very little. I loved going to my grandparents home and asking if I could get the photo albums out of the closet to just look at them. I would ask so many question all the while imagining the time that they were taken in and the stories that surrounded the photo. Oh, how I wished I could hop in that photo just to meet them and hear their story and just soak it all in. Ultimately, a photograph is what connects us to those before us and has shaped us into who we are today. Sometimes we don’t always realize the importance of a moment until it is gone. So, why not capture it?

My wish at times, is that those around me could see things “Through My Eyes.” An amazing sunset, an awe inspiring sunrise, the big bright moon, a walk in the sun, a rainy-day cloud, rainbows, animals in their domain and element, my kids playing sports or just a moment least expected. Those are the beautiful things to me. I am not what I consider a professional photographer by any means, this is my hobby, my down time, my reflect and focus time. It brings me great joy and peace to capture a moment and share with others my hope is that others see a precious moment captured “Through My Eyes”
